Who was George Gordon of Gight?
George Gordon was the maternal grandfather of poet George Gordon Byron and a descendant of King James I of Scotland and of Cardinal Beaton. He was son of Alexander Gordon and Margaret Duff. He married Catherine Innes and had a daughter Catherine. He lived his life on the Gight Estate, Scotland and died in Bath, England.
