Who is George Yankowski?
George Edward Yankowski is a former professional baseball player. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He played parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball, appearing in six games for the Philadelphia Athletics during the 1942 Philadelphia Athletics season and twelve games for the Chicago White Sox during the 1949 Chicago White Sox season, primarily as a catcher. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
