Who is Georgi Dakov?
Georgi Dakov was a Bulgarian high jumper, who was actually born in Russia.
His personal best jump was 2.36 metres, achieved in August 1990 in Brussels. This is the current Bulgarian record. Dakov reached the 1992 Olympic final and was the 1990 European Championship bronze medallist. He died in a car crash on 29 July 1996.
