Gerald Eustis Thomas, is an American diplomat, Naval Officer. who served as the United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Guyana in 1981 and Kenya in 1983.
Thomas is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity Thomas was also the second Black Man appointed to the rank of Rear Admiral in the United States Navy on November 30, 1974.
