Round born in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and '60s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Hebden Bridge ARLFC, Wakefield Trinity, as a Fullback, i.e. number 1, his death was registered in Spen Valley.
