Gisburg is a composer and singer born in Salzburg in Austria.
She originally studied flute and studied with Dieter Schnebel, touring with his vocal group "Die Maulwerker".
Gisburg moved to New York in 1992.She has recorded 3 CDs with her own compositions on John Zorn’s label Tzadik.
