Who is Gord Donnelly?

Gord Donnelly is a former ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted in the third round, 62nd overall, of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. He played in the National Hockey League with the Quebec Nordiques, Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, and Dallas Stars.

In his NHL career, Donnelly appeared in 554 games. He scored 28 goals and added 41 assists. In addition, he racked up 2,069 penalty minutes. He is currently a scout for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Donnelly's son's, Dillon,and Regan but Dillon was drafted by the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and won the 2012 Memorial Cup as a member of the Shawinigan Cataractes. In the summer of 2012, the Memorial Cup was seriously damaged by Dillon, as he picked it up, lost his balance and dropped it, causing major damage to the metal cup at the top and a crack to the wooden base.
