Who was Gordon Roe?
William Gordon Roe was an English divine and the Suffragan Bishop of Huntingdon from 1980 until 1997.
Roe was born on 5 January 1932 and educated at Bournemouth School and Jesus College, Oxford. After a curacy at Bournemouth he was Priest in charge of St Michael's, Abingdon and then Vice Principal of St Chad's College, Durham. Following this he was Rural Dean of Durham until his elevation to the Episcopate. Roe died on 19 July 1999.
