Who is Gustáv Wendrinský?

Gustáv Wendrinský was a Slovak SS-Oberscharführer. He joined the Waffen SS as early as 1940.

He destroyed 41 soviet tanks, which was the maximum number of tank demolitions with one antitank gun during World War II. Two of them he destroyed in close combat with Panzerfaust.

Wendrinský was KIA 20 km away from Budapest, during the attempt of German and Hungarian soldiers to escape from Red Army encirclement.
