Who is Hans-Holger Albrecht?

Hans-Holger Albrecht is German citizen. He has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Millicom International Cellular S.A. since October 2012. Millicom offers a range of digital services to over 45 million customers under the “tigo” brand in fifteen emerging markets in Africa and Latin America. Founded in 1990, the firm’s revenue has been driven mainly by mobile phone services but also offers cable, broadband, e-commerce through its investments in Rocket Internet and other media. In March 2013 Mr Albrecht announced the company’s strategy to double annual revenue to $9bn in 2017. The company employs over 10,000 people is headquartered in Luxembourg and listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm under the symbol MIC. He is the brother of Ursula von der Leyen, German Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
