Who is Hans Leitert?

Hans Leitert is an Austrian goalkeeping coach. He has coached at VfB Mödling, SK Rapid Vienna, FK Austria Vienna, the Austria national under-21 team, Panathinaikos and Tottenham Hotspur. He joined Tottenham in May 2008 from Recreativo de Huelva, replacing Hans Segers, who left the club in October 2007 following Juande Ramos's appointment as manager. He left when Ramos himself was sacked in November 2008.

In July 2010 Hans Leitert takes over his new position as head of goalkeeping development at FC Red Bull for all Red Bull’s football clubs and the academies in Brazil and Ghana.

Leitert was born in Vienna. He was formerly a goalkeeper for the Austrian under-21 and under-18 teams, before having to retire early due to a wrist injury. He holds a Master's degree in Sports Science and speaks at goalkeeping lectures on behalf of UEFA and FIFA.
