Gerardus Johannes Wijers is the former CEO of AkzoNobel. He is currently member of the Supervisory Board of Heineken NV, and will become Chairman in 2013. From 1994 until 1998 he was a minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands for the liberal democrats party D66.
