Who is Harith ibn Abdul-Muṭṭalib?
Ḥārith ibn Abdul-Muṭṭalib was one of the uncles of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was the only child of his mother Samrā’ bint Jundub who was from Banu Ḥawazīn tribe. The rest of the children of ‘Abdul-Muṭṭalib were born to his other wives.
Ḥārith was the firstborn of his father; so ‘Abdul-Muṭṭalib's agnomen was Abū Al-Ḥārith. He accompanied ‘Abdul-Muṭṭalib during the digging of the well of Zamzam and died before his father’s death.
