He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 19th round of the 1999 MLB Draft and signed with the Dodgers on June 14, 1999. However, his contract with the Dodgers was voided on September 7 for unspecified reasons and he did not play professionally until signed by the New York Mets on December 20, 2000.

However, after only three starts he was promoted to the Triple-A team, the Las Vegas 51s. In 2007 with Las Vegas, he compiled a record of 0-2, 6.38 ERA in 16 games. He was released by the 51s on July 8 and signed with the Mexico City Red Devils of the Mexican League.
