Who is Håvard Lothe?
The front man and founder of the band, Håvard Lothe himself, was born in a small town on the very coast of Norway, called Florø. He quickly found his own way of expressing himself through the music he wrote. After completing the A- Levels, he got accepted to LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) in England, also known as "The Paul McCartney Academy". After 3 years at LIPA Håvard moved back to Norway, more specific, to Bergen, to continue writing and performing.
In Bergen Håvard started to gather a band. Thomas Frøyen (drums) had previously played with Håvard in a garage band as kids, back in Florø. He joined Håvard in 2006. But of course, you can't survive with only a guitar and some drums. Torstein Mongstad (bass) and Erlend Mongstad (keys) packed their stuff (Yes, they are brothers!), and moved to Bergen in 2007 to join Håvard and Thomas. Together they started playing, and released their debut album, Live in concert, in September 2007. And since Håvard always making his music with a big symphonic orchestra in his head, they had to find a cellist. Werner Bryn, the most curly cellist there is, joined Håvard in 2008
