Henri Padou

Who was Henri Padou?

Henri Padou was a French water polo player and freestyle swimmer who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, in the 1924 Summer Olympics, in the 1928 Summer Olympics, and in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

He was the father of Henri Padou, Jr.

In 1920 he was a member of the French water polo team which was eliminated in the first round of the Olympic water polo competition. Padou played in the only match and scored the only goal. He was also a member of the French freestyle relay team which was eliminated in the first round of the 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay event. In the 100 metre freestyle competition he was also eliminated in the first round.

Four years later at the Paris Games he won the gold medal with the French water polo team. He played all four matches and scored three goals. With the French freestyle relay team he was eliminated in the semi-finals 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay event. In the 100 metre freestyle competition he was again eliminated in the first round.

At the 1928 Games he won the bronze medal with the French water polo team. He played all six matches and scored at least three goals.
