Who is Henry de Lesquen?

Henry de Lesquen is a French politician. He is the president of the Club de l'Horloge, a conservative think tank.

Lesquen was also a member of the Rally for the Republic, but left the party in 1984. Unlike others like Bruno Mégret and Jean-Yves Le Gallou, he did not join the Front National, however. He is supportive of uniting the conservative forces of France in one unitary movement. In 2001, he became a municipal councillor in Versailles, where he spoke out against the city's public housing projects.

A 2006 article in the newspaper Libération said that Lesquen stands close to Philippe de Villiers, and that he moved away from Bruno Mégret.
