Who was Herbert Haresnape?

Herbert Nickal "Bert" Haresnape was an English backstroke swimmer from West Derby, who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics and 1912 Summer Olympics.

At the 1908 Olympics he won a bronze medal in 100 metre backstroke.

Four years later at Stockholm he reached the semifinals in 100 metre backstroke.
