Who was Hnat Stefaniv?

Hnat Stefaniv was a colonel of the Ukrainian Galician Army and the army of the UNR. Born in the village of Topoivtsi near Horodenka, Stefaniv rose to the rank of major in the Austro-Hungarian army.
