Who was Howard Freigau?
Howard Earl Freigau, is a former professional baseball player who played third base from 1922 to 1928. He attended college at Ohio Wesleyan University. When playing for the Knoxville Smokies of the Southern Association, Freigau went for an evening swim. He dived headfirst into the shallow end of a swimming pool, broke his neck and drowned.
