Who is Ian O'Connor?
Ian O'Connor is a sports columnist for ESPNNewYork.com, formerly of The Bergen Record and Foxsports.com, and author of a New York Times best seller, "Arnie & Jack: Palmer, Nicklaus, and Golf's Greatest Rivalry."
O'Connor was a columnist at The New York Daily News, USA Today, and The Journal News, and also authored the book, "The Jump: Sebastian Telfair and the High Stakes Business of High School Ball" and "The Captain: The Journey of Derek Jeter." O'Connor has won dozens of national and regional writing awards, including the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. O'Connor also hosted a show on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York, and has made numerous appearances on national ESPN TV programs, including "The Sports Reporters."
O'Connor is a 1986 graduate of Marist College. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and son.
