Who is Ibukun Jegede?

Ibukun Jegede is a UK-based Nigerian model.

Jegede was born to an Engineer father in Lagos, Nigeria. He started modeling at the age of 16 after being called by a modeling scout on the street in Lagos. In 2007, he relocated to the UK to pursue his Bsc degree in Information and Communication Technology at Nottingham Trent University before he discovered the British modeling industry after being spotted in Selfridges. Ibukun also holds a Masters Degree in Management and Entrepreneurial eBusiness from the Nottingham Trent University He is the Chief Executive Officer of Aniibol Consulting Group which is a strategic management and information system consulting firm located in Nigeria and the UK.

He was awarded Standout model of the year in 2007 by Modelsat and won Britain's Top Model of Colour in 2008, competing against 4500 other models. In 2009 became the Black Entertainment Film, Fashion, Television and Art Awards' Best Model of the Year. He is signed to Mahogany Models.

He worked with orphan's charities in Nigeria and is a member of the British Labour party.
