Who is Igor Potapovich?

Igor Potapovich is a former pole vault athlete from Kazakhstan. Potapovich won first World Junior Championship in 1986. He won World Cup in 1992. Finished second at the 1995 IAAF World Indoor Championships and became indoor World Champion two years later in 1997.

Potapovich also won the Asian Games in 1994 and 1998. Potapovich finished 4th at the 1996 Olympic Games and did not make the finals of the 2000 Olympic Games. His personal best was 5.92 metres.
