Who is Imre Földi?
Imre Földi is a Hungarian weightlifter and Olympic champion. He won a gold medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He received silver medals in 1964 and 1968.
In 1993 he was elected member of the International Weightlifting Federation Hall of Fame.
In 1976 he became the first weightlifter to compete at five Olympic Games. This record would only be matched by Germans Ingo Steinhofel and Ronny Weller 28 years later.
