Who is Isaac Henry Jr?
Isaac Henry, Jr. was an American martial artist. Along with George Chalian he founded the Beikoku Karate-Do Goyukai at Governor's Island, New York in 1959, under the name Fort Jay Karate Club and later Govis karate Club. As founder, Isaac Henry Jr. is also entitled "Sōke" and is a 10th degree. BKG became a branch of Zen Nippon Karate-Do Goyukai when Master Michio Nozumi, its headmaster, and instructor of Grand Master Henry, appointed him as branch chief.
The Hudson Reporter said "Grandmaster Henry is one of the most respected martial arts grandmasters in the United States."
