Who was Islam Khan I?
Shaikh Alauddin Chisti was a Mughal general and the Subahdar of Bengal. He transferred the capital of Bengal to Dhaka and renamed it Jahangirnagar. He was awarded the titular name of Islam Khan by Mughal emperor Jahangir.
