Who was Ivar Mathisen?
Ivar Mathisen was a Norwegian sprint canoer who competed in the 1940s and early 1950s. He received a silver medal in the K-2 10000 m event at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London with Knut Østby. Mathisen finished fourth in the K-2 1000 m event at those same games.
