Who is Jack Laskey?

Jack Laskey is an English actor. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and has appeared on both stage and screen.

At Shakespeare's Globe Laskey played Bernard of Clairvaux in Howard Brenton's critically acclaimed In Extremis and Octavius Caesar in Antony and Cleopatra. He also played Orlando in the new production of As You Like It.

In 2007 Laskey worked with Punchdrunk theatre company, creating the role of Roderick Usher in their site specific, promenade production The Masque of the Red Death – an adaptation of various Edgar Allan Poe short stories at London's Battersea Arts Centre.

In 2008 he made his Royal Shakespeare Company debut, playing Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice, Biondello in The Taming of the Shrew and Robert Hooke in The Tragedy of Thomas Hobbes.

Other theatre credits include Biloxi Blues, Hamlet in Hamlet, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and Juliet in an all male production of Romeo and Juliet.

Laskey is also a founder member of theatre company The Factory.

He made his film debut in 2011, starring as Carruthers in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Laskey's latest movie project for theatrical release is Secret Sharer, due for release in the summer of 2014.
