Who was Jack Surtees?
John 'Jack' Surtees, was an English professional footballer whose career lasted from 1931 until 1939. He played for Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest. Surtees was an inside forward who made 156 League appearances plus 15 in the F.A. Cup, scoring 36 goals.
