Who was Jacob Sloat Fassett?
Jacob Sloat Fassett was a businessman, lawyer, and member of the United States House of Representatives from New York. He married Jennie Louise Crocker in Sacramento, California on February 13, 1879. Jennie L. Crocker was the daughter of Judge Edwin B. Crocker and Margaret Elenor Rhodes. It was Jennie Crocker's parents who founded the Crocker Art Museum. Her father, Edwin B. Crocker was the brother of the wealthy railroad baron Charles Crocker.
