Who was Jacqueline Robin?
Jacqueline Robin was a French pianist. Born Jazqueline Pangnier, performed also as Jacqueline Bonneau.
She entered the Paris Conservatory at the age of ten, and obtained five first prizes there. In 1945, she formed a celebrated piano duo with Geneviève Joy
She collaborated with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Gérard Souzay as accompanists. She was best known as a Gabriel Fauré and French modernist music performer. She taught at the Conservatoire de Paris from 1968-88.
Jacqueline Robin was decorated the Légion d'honneur in 1981.
