Who is Jafar Khan Jamali?

Mir Jafar Khan Jamali was a prominent politician, tribal leader and a Muslim League veteran from Balochistan province, Pakistan. He was a close friend of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. He belongs to the Jamali tribe, a powerful and influential Baloch tribe. He actively participated in the struggle of creation of Pakistan from British India rules. He was uncle and family leader of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.

The district of Jafarabad, Balochistan is named after him.

Mir Jaffar Khan Jamali Foundation Tribute to his services for Pakistan, Mir Jaffar Khan Jamali Foundation was founded in 1998 by a group of committed development workers and experts belonging to various spheres of life such as education, environment, water & sanitation, law, engineering and women activism with a vision “A prosperous and progressive society where people have access to all basic amenities and facilities of life on equitable basis”
