Who is Jaime Riveros?

Jaime Eduardo Riveros Valenzuela is a former Chilean footballer. Riveros has many nicknames which are "la Liebre", "la Zurdita", "Mono Zidane", and "el 10." He has played for seven different clubs and has been called up to the national team. He made his national team debut on 4 January 1997, against Armenia. He represented his country at the Copa América 1997 playing in two games. He also played in three games for Chile in the qualifications for the 1998 FIFA World Cup and in three games in the qualifications for the 2002 FIFA World Cup scoring one goal.

Riveros made his professional debut with O'Higgins in 1990. Soon after he was loaned to Second Division side Unión Santa Cruz for the 1992 season where he impressed and was recalled to his previous club, O'Higgins.

In 1995 he moved to Cobreloa where he would earn 175 caps and score 74 times. While with Cobreloa, Riveros was recognized as one of the key parts of the team. He then moved on to Santiago Wanderers where he would help the team win the championship in 2001. That year he was also named most valuable player of the league. During the Apertura 2004 tournament Riveros scored 15 games in a row, breaking the record.
