Who was Jake Virtue?
Jacob Kitchline "Guesses" Virtue was a first baseman in Major League Baseball from 1890 to 1894. He played for the Cleveland Spiders of the National League. During the split-season format played in 1892, he was Cleveland's first baseman when they won the second half of the season but ultimately lost the NL pennant to Boston.
