Who is Jake Zemke?

Jake Zemke is a professional motorcycle road racer of partial Japanese ancestry. He currently competes in the Daytona SportBike Championship for GEICO Motorcycle Road Racing aboard a Honda CBR600RR. He turned pro in 1992. Zemke's race number has been 98 for most of his racing career. He started riding at the age of 6 and entered his first race at the age of 9.

For the 2014 season, Zemke is signed to race in the Daytona SportBike Championship for GEICO Motorcycle Road Racing aboard a Honda CBR600RR. In 2010 Zemke rode for the famed Basketball player Michael Jordan's Michael Jordan Motorsports Team. At the 2010 opening round at Daytona International Raceway Zemke qualified near the tail of the top 10 but clawed his way to a double win to give Jordan Motorsports their first official AMA American Superbike class wins. In 2009 he was the replacement rider of World Superbike team [Stiggy Racing] Honda at selected events, and conquest one point. He also rode for Erion Honda team in the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike class.
