Who was Jakob Edvard Colbjørnsen?
Jakob Edvard Colbjørnsen was chief justice of the Supreme Court of Denmark-Norway in the capital of Copenhagen.
Jakob Edvard Colbjørnsen was born in Sørum, Akershus, in the traditional region of Romerike, Norway. His parents were Colbjørn Colbjørnsen Jacobsen and Anna Dorothea Røring. Jakob Edvard Colbjørnsen, along with his brothers, Edvard Røring Colbjørnsen, Christian Colbjørnsen attended the Christiania Cathedral School.
He served as the chief justice from 1799 until his death. He died in 1802 and his brother, Christian Colbjørnsen was chief justice of Denmark-Norway until 1814.
Jakob Colbjørnsen was one of the founding members of The Norwegian Society.
