Who was James A. Long?
James A. Long was a theosophist and president of the Theosophical Society Pasadena.
His election for president of the TS Pasadena was very controversial. As a result, some Theosophical Societies left the TS Pasadena to form the TS Point Loma-Covina.
James Long founded the theosophical journal Sunrise. He also endeavored to enlarge the Theosophical Library Center.
He was succeeded by Grace F. Knoche as president of the Theosophical Society Pasadena.
