James Baty

Who is James Baty?

Dr. James Baty is currently the Vice President and CTO for Sun's

GlobalSales organization. Jim has been a Sun Systems Architect for over

eight years and was the first person in Sun Services to achieve

recognition asa Sun Distinguished Engineer.Jim is an expert in

the design, implementation and management of information technology. He

is renowned for his work as lead Architect in designing the technical

architectures for many of Sun's customers,including highly available

systems for several global telecommunication sand financial services

companies. His work has repeatedly enhanced Sun's ability to deliver

services architecture and enables rapid time-to-market functionality

for our customers. Dr. Baty has been responsible for the design of many

large-scale customer projects that focus on availability, scalability,

and manageability. In his current role, he provides technical

leadership for the global architectural and technical delivery teams in

Sun's sales organizations.
