Who was James Berkeley?
James Berkeley was a medieval Bishop of Exeter.
Berkeley was elected on 5 December 1326 and consecrated on 22 March 1327. He died on 24 June 1327. According to his successor John de Grandisson, his manors were destroyed and despoiled, and de Berkeley murdered, but it is not known how this was thought to have been done.
