Who was Jim Trifunov?
James "Jim" Trifunov was a Canadian freestyle sport wrestler who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics, in the 1928 Summer Olympics, and in the 1932 Summer Olympics.
He was born and died in Winnipeg.
In 1924 he finished ninth in the freestyle bantamweight tournament.
Four years later he won the bronze medal in the Olympic freestyle bantamweight class.
His final Olympic appearance was at the 1932 Olympics he also competed in the freestyle bantamweight category.
At the 1930 Empire Games he won the gold medal in the bantamweight class.
