Who is Jamie McMurray?

James Christopher "Jamie" McMurray is a former NASCAR driver and currently works as a race analyst. He is best known for winning the 2002 UAW-GM Quality 500 as a substitute driver in his second Cup start, and is one of only three drivers (joining Jimmie Johnson and Dale Jarrett) to win both the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 in the same year (which he accomplished in 2010). He drove the No. 1 Chevrolet SS in the Sprint Cup Series for Chip Ganassi Racing with crew chief Keith Rodden. McMurray stopped racing following an 8th place finish in the 2021 Daytona 500 for Spire Motorsports, and has since appeared on the NASCAR Raceday prerace show and NASCAR Race Hub midweek shows on the Fox and FS1 networks.
