Who is Jan Alston?
Jan Alston is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre.
Alston has spent his entire pro career in Europe, beginning in Italy with HC Eppan Pirates and WSV Sterzing – SSI Vipiteno Broncos before moving to Switzerland with HC Lausanne. He returned to Italy with EV MAK Bruneck and AS Varese before returning to Switzerland with spells in the Nationalliga A for EHC Biel, HC Davos and HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. He then moved to the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in Germany in 1997, playing for the Berlin Capitals and the Adler Mannheim. He moved to the ZSC Lions to 2001 and played there until 2009–2010. Alston played the 2010-11 season with the HC Lausanne of the National League B.
