Who was Jan Siberechts?
Jan Siberechts was a Flemish Baroque landscape painter. He was born in Antwerp, the son of a sculptor with the same name. After establishing himself as an artist in Flanders, he moved to England during his forties.
He was a follower of Nicolaes Berchem and Karel Dujardin, and was still painting in Antwerp in 1660. He died in London.
