Who is Jarrius Jackson?

Jarrius Jackson is a former basketball player for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. In his three seasons as a guard, he scored 1,544 points, including a career high 657 in the 2005-06 season. In a game against Nebraska, he scored a career-high 41 points. He has also had 297 assists, and collected 150 steals. He made 153 3-point field goals in his career as well.

The son of Glenn and Glinda Jackson, he was born June 18, 1985 in Monroe, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School. In 2006, Jackson was suspended from the Texas Tech team for academic reasons, but it wasn't long before he was able to be back on the court. In his senior year at Texas Tech, Jackson was a recipient of the Lowe's Senior Class Award, recognizing his contributions on and off the basketball court.

In recent years, he has played in Italy, first in Legadue and then for Casale Monferrato. Jackson signed a two year contract with Prima Veroli in July, 2010. In July 2012, he signed with Vanoli Cremona. In January 2013, he becomes an Italian citizen, taking the passport after the marriage with a girl of Italian origins.
