Who is Jason McQuinn?
Jason McQuinn is an American anarchist, founder and co-editor of Alternative Press Review, and founder and former co-editor of the journal Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed from 1980 to 1995, when Tad Kepley took it over, and again from 1997 to 2006. He is an advocate of post-left anarchy; that is, anarchism outside the constraints of political ideology which is seen as antiquated and irrelevant to real struggle.
Before the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, McQuinn wrote and edited Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed under the pseudonym "Lev Chernyi" in honor of the Russian anarchist of that name, who was killed in 1921 by the Cheka.
