Who is Jason Standridge?

Jason Wayne Standridge is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball.

Standridge made his major league debut with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2001. He signed with the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks on June 3, 2007. In January 2009, he signed a minor league contract with the Florida Marlins. He was assigned to the Marlins' AAA affiliate, the New Orleans Zephyrs, but was released by the team in late April after a lackluster showing.

On January 14, 2010, Standridge signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies. After being released from the roster of the Phillies, the Hanshin Tigers of Nippon Professional Baseball contracted with him on April 5 to make up for starting pitchers of the team.

Standridge features a fastball, curveball, slider, and changeup.
