Who is Jason Subramaniam?

As Vitrue's Chief Product Officer, Jason Subramaniam is responsible for leading the development of products that enable tighter, interactive connectivity between brand owners and consumers. Mr. Subramaniam has over 20 years experience in global product management with both start-ups and large companies in the Internet, telecommunications and data communications markets. He has managed the development of multiple products from concept through the complete life cycle in the United States, Asia and Latin America. At present, he holds four patents.

Prior to joining Vitrue, Subramaniam was Vice President, Product Management at Adify, an online service that connects publishers and advertisers, where he helped launch its first release. Before that, he was the Chief Product Officer at SME Global Solutions, Inc. (which now includes WebVisible), a company that packaged online advertising products for media companies. As Vice-President, Product Marketing at Engage Media, he led the integration and growth of product offerings across new advertising entities acquired by CMGI. And as Vice President of Product Management at Flycast Communications, he led products that earned Flycast an innovative reputation in the ad serving community.

While with Octel Communications (a leader in voicemail technology later acquired by Lucent Technologies), Mr. Subramaniam defined strategies for global customers and led migration of customers to a new architecture that supported unified messaging. He created partnerships with large vendors and aggressively spearheaded profitable growth in Asia and Latin America. His work at Octel earned him "Octel Oscar" for best product of the year.

Subramaniam has also managed product marketing for a number of companies, among them Match.com (the leading online matchmaking subscription service with over eight million members), ECI's classified advertising product for newspaper websites, and other online services in the real estate, automotive, and employment market segments.

Subramaniam received an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a degree in Engineering from National Institute of Technology in India. He was presented with an international humanitarian award by Mother Teresa. He and his wife, Uthra, recently moved to Atlanta.
