Who is Jay R. Berkovitz?
Jay R. Berkovitz is Professor of Judaic and Near Eastern Studies and director of the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He earned a Ph.D. from Brandeis University and is a member of Congregation Shaarei Tefillah in Newton, Massachusetts, where he lives with his wife, Sharon Levinson, and his daughter.
