Who is Jaya Krishna?

Jaya Krishna is a former tollywood film producer who made movies in 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Some of his well known movies include Mana Voori Pandavulu 1978, Manthri Gari Viyyankudu 1983, Vivaha Bhojanambu, Muddula Manavaralu, Seetaramulu, Raagaleela, Neeku Naaku Pellanta Krishnarjunulu, 420 with Naga Babu, etc. He is the Telugu producer for the movie Abhay starring Kamal Hasan and Raveena Tandon. His latest films included Sabhash with Sumanth and Dasu with Sri Hari, both of which were stopped midway and released subsequently by another producer.

He is the first producer to pay a remuneration to Mega star Chiranjeevi. His production banners include Muddu Art Movies, Jaya Krishna Movies.

He started his career as a makeup man in the film industry. He was a personal makeup man for Rebel star Krishnam raju, Vijaya Shanti. The noted film producer A.M. Rathnam was his student who later on became a make up man and then a producer.

He was the one who introduced comedian Brahmanandam to the Telugu film world through Jandhyala. He was the one who gave a break to Vijay C Kumar who is famous for films Ammoru, Godavari, Happy days etc.
