Who was Jean-Marie Villot?
Jean-Marie Villot was a French Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Lyon from 1965 to 1967, Prefect of the Congregation for Council from 1967 to 1969, Vatican Secretary of State from 1969 to 1979, and Camerlengo from 1970 to 1979. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 1965.
